       (Ring) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 260 - 262
    4  and insert:
    5         (23) “State Agency” means any official, officer,
    6  commission, board, authority, council, committee, or department
    7  of the executive branch of state government, and the Justice
    8  Administration Commission and the Public Service Commission. For
    9  the purpose of this chapter, “agency” does not include
   10  university boards of trustees or state universities.
   11         (24) “Information technology security” means the protection
   12  afforded to an automated information system in order to attain
   13  the applicable objectives of preserving the integrity,
   14  availability, and confidentiality of data, information, and
   15  information technology resources.
