    1         Senate Amendment

    3         Delete lines 46 - 59
    4  and insert:
    5         (b) “Business operations” means engaging in commerce in any
    6  form in Sudan or Iran, including, but not limited to, acquiring,
    7  developing, maintaining, owning, selling, possessing, leasing,
    8  or operating equipment, facilities, personnel, products,
    9  services, personal property, real property, or any other
   10  apparatus of business or commerce.
   11         (c) “Company” means a any sole proprietorship,
   12  organization, association, corporation, partnership, joint
   13  venture, limited partnership, limited liability partnership,
   14  limited liability company, or other entity or business
   15  association, including all wholly owned subsidiaries, majority
   16  owned subsidiaries, parent companies, or affiliates of such
   17  entities or business associations, that exists for the purpose
   18  of making profit.
