       Senator Brandes moved the following:
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    3         Between lines 154 and 155
    4  insert:
    5         (7) REPORT.—The Department of Transportation is directed to
    6  review potential impacts on public safety originating from
    7  commercial applications of unmanned aerial systems. The
    8  department, in coordination with the Office of Insurance
    9  Regulation, is directed to make recommendations addressing the
   10  appropriate amount of liability insurance to be carried by
   11  operators of unmanned aerial systems used in commercial
   12  applications in this state. The department shall submit a report
   13  to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of
   14  the House of Representatives by January 1, 2016, outlining the
   15  department’s and the office’s recommendations.
