    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to campaign financing; amending s.
    3         106.0701, F.S.; removing the requirement that certain
    4         officers and candidates soliciting contributions on
    5         behalf of s. 527 or s. 501(c)(4) organizations create
    6         a website disclosing certain information; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsections (3), (4), and (5) of section
   12  106.0701, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
   13         106.0701 Solicitation of contributions on behalf of s. 527
   14  or s. 501(c)(4) organizations; reporting requirements; civil
   15  penalty; exemption.—
   16         (3) Upon filing a statement with the division, an
   17  individual subject to the requirements of subsection (1) shall
   18  promptly create a public website that contains a mission
   19  statement and the names of persons associated with the
   20  organization. The address of the website shall be reported to
   21  the division within 5 business days after the website is
   22  created.
   23         (4) All contributions received shall be disclosed on the
   24  website within 5 business days after deposit, together with the
   25  name, address, and occupation of the donor. All expenditures by
   26  the organization shall be individually disclosed on the website
   27  within 5 business days after being made.
   28         (3)(5) The filing requirements of subsection (1) do not
   29  apply to an individual acting on behalf of his or her own
   30  campaign, a political party, or an affiliated party committee of
   31  which the individual is a member.
   32         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
