       Senator Richter moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 71 - 77
    4  and insert:
    5         (6) “High-pressure well stimulation” means all stages of a
    6  well intervention performed by injecting fluids into a rock
    7  formation at high pressure that exceeds the fracture gradient of
    8  the rock formation in order to propagate fractures in such
    9  formation to increase production at an oil or gas well by
   10  improving flow of hydrocarbons from the formation into the
   11  wellbore. The term does not include well stimulation or
   12  conventional workover procedures that may incidentally fracture
   13  the formation near the wellbore.
