    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to postsecondary education fees;
    3         amending s. 1009.26, F.S.; requiring state
    4         universities to waive specified fees for certain
    5         graduate students; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (14) is added to section 1009.26,
   10  Florida Statutes, to read:
   11         1009.26 Fee waivers.—
   12         (14) Each state university shall waive financial aid fees
   13  as defined in s. 1009.24(7); technology fees as defined in s.
   14  1009.24(13); fees for security, access, or identification cards
   15  as defined in s. 1009.24(14)(c); and any fees or fines relating
   16  to the use, late return, and loss or damage of facilities and
   17  equipment as defined in s. 1009.24(14)(p) for a graduate student
   18  who has a 0.25, or greater, full-time equivalent appointment as
   19  a graduate assistant, graduate research assistant, graduate
   20  teaching assistant, graduate research associate, or graduate
   21  teaching associate.
   22         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015.
