       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Latvala) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (916942) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 1. Section 565.04, Florida Statutes, is amended to
    7  read:
    8         565.04 Package store restrictions.—
    9         (1) Vendors licensed under s. 565.02(1)(a) shall not in
   10  said place of business sell, offer, or expose for sale any
   11  merchandise other than such beverages, and such places of
   12  business shall be devoted exclusively to such sales; provided,
   13  however, that such vendors shall be permitted to sell bitters,
   14  grenadine, nonalcoholic mixer-type beverages (not to include
   15  fruit juices produced outside this state), fruit juices produced
   16  in this state, home bar, and party supplies and equipment
   17  (including but not limited to glassware and party-type foods),
   18  miniatures of no alcoholic content, and tobacco products. Such
   19  places of business shall have no openings permitting direct
   20  access to any other building or room, except to a private office
   21  or storage room of the place of business from which patrons are
   22  excluded.
   23         (2) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, when
   24  delivering alcoholic beverages to a vendor licensed under s.
   25  565.02(1)(a), a licensed distributor may transport the beverages
   26  through another licensed premises owned in whole or in part by
   27  the vendor.

   30  And the title is amended as follows:
   31         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   32  and insert:
   33                        A bill to be entitled                      
   34         An act relating to package stores; amending s. 565.04,
   35         F.S.; permitting licensed distributors to transport
   36         alcoholic beverage through another licensed premise;
   37         providing an effective date.
