       Senators Lee and Gaetz moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (877970) (with directory and
    2  title amendments)

    4         Between lines 593 and 594
    5  insert:
    6         (13) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, students
    7  who take and pass advanced placement, International
    8  Baccalaureate, AICE, or national industry certification
    9  examinations, or other articulated acceleration mechanisms
   10  authorized under s. 1007.27, or who achieve required cut scores
   11  on ACT or SAT examinations shall be exempt from taking statewide
   12  standardized assessments in the subject areas covered by those
   13  examinations. The Commissioner of Education shall, by the first
   14  day of school in the 2015-2016 school year, establish concordant
   15  scores or comparative scores, as appropriate, relating to
   16  passage of those examinations relative to the associated
   17  statewide assessment and use those scores to satisfy high school
   18  graduation requirements pursuant to s. 1003.4282.
