       The Committee on Appropriations (Negron) recommended the
       following:
       
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 209 - 219
    4  and insert:
    5         (4) FLORIDA CORRECTIONS COMMISSION.—The Florida Corrections
    6  Commission is created. The commission is assigned to the Justice
    7  Administrative Commission for administrative and fiscal
    8  accountability purposes, but it shall otherwise function
    9  independently of the control, supervision, and direction of the
   10  Justice Administrative Commission. The primary focus of the
   11  commission shall be on matters relating to corrections with an
   12  emphasis on the safe and effective operations of major
   13  correctional institutions. However, in instances in which the
   14  policies of other components of the criminal justice system
   15  affect corrections, the commission shall advise and make
   16  recommendations.

   21  and insert:
   22         Corrections Commission within the Justice
   23         Administrative Commission;
