       Senator Hays moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 4842 and 4843
    4  insert:
    5         Section 64. The contract with the American Institutes for
    6  Research for the statewide, standardized assessments in English
    7  Language Arts and mathematics is terminated. A state agency may
    8  not expend any additional funds to the American Institutes for
    9  Research. Districts shall replace the statewide, standardized
   10  assessments with nationally norm-referenced assessments in
   11  English Language Arts and mathematics which were in use before
   12  2010 from the list maintained by the Commissioner of Education
   13  pursuant to s. 1002.395, Florida Statutes.

   18  and insert:
   19         prescribing report requirements; providing that the
   20         contract with the American Institutes for Research for
   21         specified statewide, standardized assessments is
   22         terminated; prohibiting a state agency from expending
   23         any additional funds to the American Institutes for
   24         Research; requiring districts to replace statewide
   25         standardized assessments with specified nationally
   26         norm-referenced assessments in English Language Arts
   27         and mathematics; providing a directive
