       The Committee on Appropriations (Flores) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (149946) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 3255 and 3256
    5  insert:
    6         Section 56. Subsection (4) of section 1013.40, Florida
    7  Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         1013.40 Planning and construction of Florida College System
    9  institution facilities; property acquisition.—
   10         (4) The campus of a Florida College System institution
   11  within a municipality designated as an area of critical state
   12  concern, as defined in s. 380.05, and having a comprehensive
   13  plan and land development regulations containing a building
   14  permit allocation system that limits annual growth, may
   15  construct dormitories for up to 400 100 beds for Florida College
   16  System institution students. Such dormitories are shall be
   17  exempt from the building permit allocation system and may be
   18  constructed up to 45 feet in height if the dormitories provided
   19  that they are otherwise consistent with the comprehensive plan,
   20  the Florida College System institution has a hurricane
   21  evacuation plan that requires all dormitory occupants to be
   22  evacuated 48 hours in advance of tropical force winds, and that
   23  transportation is provided for dormitory occupants during an
   24  evacuation.

   29  insert:
   30         amending s. 1013.40, F.S.; increasing the number of
   31         beds that may be in a dormitory constructed by certain
   32         Florida College System institutions;
