       Senator Diaz de la Portilla moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Before line 30
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Section 627.70133, Florida Statutes, is created
    6  to read:
    7         627.70133 Notice of assignment of benefits.—As to
    8  residential property insurance policies, absent extenuating
    9  circumstances, an insurer must be notified within 5 business
   10  days after the execution of an assignment of benefits. An
   11  insurer must provide a dedicated facsimile number and e-mail
   12  address to receive these notices and confirm receipt thereof.

   17  and insert:
   18         An act relating to property repair; creating s.
   19         627.70133, F.S.; providing that absent extenuating
   20         circumstances, an insurer must be notified after the
   21         execution of certain assignments of benefits;
   22         requiring an insurer to provide means to receive
   23         notices of assignments;
