       Senator Clemens moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 18 and 19
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Section 252.3655, Florida Statutes, is created
    6  to read:
    7         252.3655 Implementation of hazard mitigation plan; report.—
    8         (1) The division shall prepare an annual progress report on
    9  the implementation of the state’s hazard mitigation plan,
   10  developed and submitted in accordance with 42 U.S.C. s. 5165 and
   11  any implementing regulations, as it relates to natural hazards.
   12  At a minimum, the annual progress report must:
   13         (a) Assess the relevance, level, and significance of
   14  current efforts of state agencies to address the impacts of
   15  natural hazards; and
   16         (b) Strategize and prioritize ongoing efforts to address
   17  the impacts of natural hazards.
   18         (2) By January 1, 2018, and each year thereafter, the
   19  division shall submit the annual progress report to the
   20  Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the
   21  House of Representatives.

   26  and insert:

   28         252.3655, F.S.; requiring the Division of Emergency
   29         Management to prepare an annual progress report
   30         regarding the implementation of the state’s hazard
   31         mitigation plan; requiring the division to submit such
   32         report to the Governor and the Legislature; amending
   33         ss.
