       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 18 and 19
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Subsection (3) is added to section 252.35,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         252.35 Emergency management powers; Division of Emergency
    8  Management.—
    9         (3) The division may contract with a third party to store
   10  elevation certificates received pursuant to s. 472.0366. The
   11  division may also contract with a third party to maintain a
   12  centralized database allowing the public to access elevation
   13  certificates and the data contained in the elevation
   14  certificates.
   15         Section 3. Subsection (2) of section 472.0366, Florida
   16  Statutes, is amended to read:
   17         472.0366 Elevation certificates; requirements for surveyors
   18  and mappers.—
   19         (2) Beginning January 1, 2017, a surveyor and mapper shall,
   20  within 30 days after completion, submit to the division a copy
   21  of each elevation certificate that he or she completes. The copy
   22  must be unaltered, except that the surveyor and mapper may
   23  redact the name of the property owner. The copy of an elevation
   24  certificate submitted to the division must be the final version
   25  of the elevation certificate that has been determined to be
   26  complete and accurate by the appropriate building official, if
   27  the surveyor and mapper was required to submit the elevation
   28  certificate to a local building official.
