       Senator Evers moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 1081 and 1082
    4  insert:
    5         Section 23. Paragraphs (ffff) and (gggg) are added to
    6  subsection (4) of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         320.08056 Specialty license plates.—
    8         (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
    9  collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
   10         (ffff) America the Beautiful license plate, $25.
   11         (gggg) Protect Pollinators license plate, $25.
   12         Section 24. Subsections (84) and (85) are added to section
   13  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:
   14         320.08058 Specialty license plates.—
   15         (84) AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL LICENSE PLATES.—
   16         (a) The department shall develop an America the Beautiful
   17  license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
   18  word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
   19  words “America the Beautiful” must appear at the bottom of the
   20  plate.
   21         (b) The America the Beautiful Fund shall retain annual use
   22  fees from the sale of the plate until startup costs for
   23  developing and issuing the plate have been recovered.
   24  Thereafter, the annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall
   25  be distributed to the America the Beautiful Fund, which may use
   26  a maximum of 10 percent of the proceeds to offset administrative
   27  costs of the organization and to market and promote the plate,
   28  and the remainder of the proceeds for programs in support of
   29  military service members and their families and advancing self
   30  sufficiency in children and families; educational scholarships;
   31  and land and wildlife conservation to ensure sustained and
   32  equitable benefit to people, animals, and wildlife.
   33         (85) PROTECT POLLINATORS LICENSE PLATES.—
   34         (a) The department shall develop a Protect Pollinators
   35  license plate as provided in s. 320.08053 and this section. The
   36  word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
   37  words “Protect Pollinators” must appear at the bottom of the
   38  plate.
   39         (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
   40  distributed to the Florida Wildflower Foundation, Inc., which:
   41         1. May use a maximum of 10 percent of the proceeds to
   42  promote and market the Protect Pollinators license plate.
   43         2. Shall invest and reinvest the remainder of the proceeds
   44  and use the interest thereon to establish pollinator wildflower
   45  habitats and pollinator education and research programs that
   46  promote awareness of pollinators and their importance to Florida
   47  agricultural success and global food supply and security.

   50         Delete line 129
   51  and insert:
   52         Legislature; amending s. 320.08056, F.S.; providing
   53         annual use fees for certain specialty license plates;
   54         amending s. 320.08058, F.S.; directing the department
   55         to develop certain specialty license plates; providing
   56         for the distribution of annual use fees received from
   57         the sale of such plates; providing effective dates.
