       The Committee on Judiciary (Brandes) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 104 - 118
    4  and insert:
    5  amount of $300,000.
    6         Section 3. The total amount paid for attorney fees,
    7  lobbying fees, costs, and other similar expenses relating to
    8  this claim may not exceed 25 percent of the total amount awarded
    9  under this act. However, taxable costs, which may not include
   10  attorney fees and lobbying fees, related to the underlying civil
   11  action may be collected in addition to the attorney fees and
   12  lobbying fees.
