       The Committee on Transportation (Broxson) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 181 - 183
    4  and insert:
    5         (d) The surviving spouse of a deceased motor vehicle owner
    6  who applies for a transfer of title in his or her own name,
    7  regardless of whether the surviving spouse is named on the
    8  deceased motor vehicle owner’s title, is exempt from the fees
    9  imposed under this subsection.
