    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to certificates of title for motor
    3         vehicles; amending s. 319.32, F.S.; prohibiting the
    4         Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles from
    5         charging a fee for a certificate of title issued for a
    6         motor vehicle solely to remove a deceased joint owner
    7         if the other joint owner is the surviving spouse;
    8         providing an effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Subsection (7) is added to section 319.32,
   13  Florida Statutes, to read:
   14         319.32 Fees; service charges; disposition.—
   15         (7) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section,
   16  the department may not charge a fee for a certificate of title
   17  issued for a motor vehicle solely to remove a deceased joint
   18  owner if the other joint owner is the surviving spouse.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.
