       Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education (Lee)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 615 and 616
    4  insert:
    5         Section 17. For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, any funding
    6  provided to a Florida College System institution pursuant to s.
    7  1001.67(1)(a) and (b), Florida Statutes, relating to the
    8  Distinguished Florida College System Institution Program
    9  excellence standards as amended by this act; or any funding
   10  provided to a state university pursuant to s. 1001.7065(2)(d),
   11  Florida Statutes, relating to the preeminent state research
   12  universities program academic and research excellence standards
   13  as amended by this act, is contingent upon money also being
   14  appropriated to the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
   15  to support summer term enrollment as provided in s. 1009.53(9),
   16  Florida Statutes.
