       The Committee on Appropriations (Galvano) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 609 and 610
    4  insert:
    5         Section 16. Present paragraphs (e) and (f) of subsection
    6  (10) of section 1009.98, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as
    7  paragraphs (f) and (g), respectively, and a new paragraph (e) is
    8  added to that subsection, to read:
    9         1009.98 Stanley G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Program.—
   10         (10) PAYMENTS ON BEHALF OF QUALIFIED BENEFICIARIES.—
   11         (e) Notwithstanding the number of credit hours used by a
   12  state university to assess the amount for registration fees, the
   13  tuition differential, or local fees, the amount paid by the
   14  board to any state university on behalf of a qualified
   15  beneficiary of an advance payment contract purchased before July
   16  1, 2024, may not exceed the number of credit hours taken by that
   17  qualified beneficiary at a state university.

   22  and insert:
