       Senator Young moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (384600) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 2758 and 2759
    5  insert:
    6         Section 55. Section 334.355, Florida Statutes, is created
    7  to read:
    8         334.355 Bicycle sharing companies or other companies
    9  engaged in the rental of bicycles.—A local governmental entity
   10  may not take any action or adopt any local ordinance, policy, or
   11  regulation that is designed to limit or prevent a bicycle
   12  sharing company or any company engaged in the rental of bicycles
   13  from operating within its jurisdiction, provided that the
   14  company has demonstrated compliance with all local laws and
   15  regulations applicable to other similar businesses seeking to do
   16  business or presently doing business within that jurisdiction.
   17  For purposes of this section, “bicycle sharing company” means a
   18  person who makes bicycles, as defined in s. 316.003(3),
   19  available for private use by reservation through an online
   20  application, software, or website.
