       Senator Lee moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 38 and 39
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Section 163.376, Florida Statutes, is created to
    6  read:
    7         163.376 Prohibition on funding specified facilities.—A
    8  community redevelopment agency may not enter into a new contract
    9  or renew an existing contract that provides funding from the
   10  community redevelopment trust fund for the construction,
   11  reconstruction, renovation, or improvement of a facility or any
   12  related infrastructure projects unless the use of such funds is
   13  approved by an affirmative vote of the electors of the county
   14  where the community redevelopment agency is located. For the
   15  purposes of this section, “facility” means a facility
   16  constructed with financial assistance under s. 288.1162, s.
   17  288.11621, s. 288.11631, or s. 288.1171. The term includes
   18  ancillary facilities including, but not limited to, office
   19  space, physically connected parking facilities, merchandising
   20  facilities, restaurants, or lodging.

   24         Delete line 2
   25  and insert:
   26         An act relating to local government; creating s.
   27         163.376, F.S.; prohibiting a community redevelopment
   28         agency from entering into a new contract or renewing
   29         an existing contract that provides funding for
   30         specified facilities except under certain
   31         circumstances; defining the term “facility”;
