       Appropriations Subcommittee on Pre-K - 12 Education (Lee)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (396932) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 866 and 867
    5  insert:
    6         Section 10. Paragraph (e) is added to subsection (2) of
    7  section 1013.385, Florida Statutes, to read:
    8         1013.385 School district construction flexibility.—
    9         (2) A resolution adopted under this section may propose
   10  implementation of exceptions to requirements of the uniform
   11  statewide building code for the planning and construction of
   12  public educational and ancillary plants adopted pursuant to ss.
   13  553.73 and 1013.37 relating to:
   14         (e) Any other provisions that limit the ability of a school
   15  to operate in a facility on the same basis as a charter school
   16  pursuant to s. 1002.33(18) if the regional planning council
   17  determines that there is sufficient shelter capacity within the
   18  school district as documented in the Statewide Emergency Shelter
   19  Plan.
