The Committee on Ethics and Elections (Bean) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete everything after the enacting clause
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Present paragraphs (a), (b), and (c) of
6 subsection (4) of section 98.065, Florida Statutes, are
7 redesignated as paragraphs (b), (c), and (d), respectively, and
8 a new paragraph (a) is added to that subsection, to read:
9 98.065 Registration list maintenance programs.—

11 (a) The supervisor shall enter into an agreement with the
12 local clerk of the circuit court to receive monthly from such
13 clerk change-of-address information and a list of potential
14 jurors who identified themselves as aliens, as defined in s.
15 327.02(2).
16 Section 2. Paragraph (h) is added to subsection (2) of
17 section 98.093, Florida Statutes, to read:
18 98.093 Duty of officials to furnish information relating to
19 deceased persons, persons adjudicated mentally incapacitated,
20 and persons convicted of a felony, and persons identified as
21 aliens.—
22 (2) To the maximum extent feasible, state and local
23 government agencies shall facilitate provision of information
24 and access to data to the department, including, but not limited
25 to, databases that contain reliable criminal records and records
26 of deceased persons. State and local government agencies that
27 provide such data shall do so without charge if the direct cost
28 incurred by those agencies is not significant.
29 (h) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
30 shall furnish monthly to the department a list of persons who
31 identified themselves as aliens, as defined in s. 327.02(2). The
32 department shall compare the list with the statewide voter
33 registration system and, if the department determines that a
34 registered voter is an alien, provide the name of such voter to
35 the supervisor of elections of the county in which the voter is
36 registered.
37 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.

44 An act relating to voter registration maintenance;
45 amending s. 98.065, F.S.; requiring supervisors of
46 elections to enter into agreements with clerks of the
47 circuit courts to receive specified information;
48 amending s. 98.093, F.S.; requiring the Department of
49 Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to furnish monthly
50 to the Department of State a list of persons who
51 identified themselves as aliens; requiring the
52 Department of State to compare such list with the
53 statewide voter registration system and provide the
54 name of any registered voter who is an alien to the
55 supervisor of elections of the county in which the
56 voter is registered; providing an effective date.
