    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to crime reports; amending s. 943.05,
    3         F.S.; requiring the Criminal Justice Information
    4         Program to establish, implement, and maintain a system
    5         for submitting an annual report to the Federal Bureau
    6         of Investigation; specifying the data the program must
    7         include in the report; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (i) is added to subsection (2) of
   12  section 943.05, Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         943.05 Criminal Justice Information Program; duties; crime
   14  reports.—
   15         (2) The program shall:
   16         (i) Establish, implement, and maintain a system for
   17  preparing and submitting an annual report to the Federal Bureau
   18  of Investigation. Each report must include statistics for the
   19  previous calendar year on crime in this state, including, but
   20  not limited to, the types of crimes reported, numbers of
   21  offenders, arrests, and victims and data on gun-related
   22  homicides.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.
