The Committee on Rules (Flores) recommended the following:

4 insert:
5 Section 128. Subject to federal approval of the application
6 to be a site for the Program of All-inclusive Care for the
7 Elderly (PACE), the Agency for Health Care Administration shall
8 contract with an additional nonprofit organization to serve
9 individuals and families in Miami-Dade County. The nonprofit
10 organization must have a history of primarily serving the
11 Hispanic population by providing primary care services,
12 nutrition, meals, and adult day care to the senior population.
13 The nonprofit organization shall leverage existing community
14 based care providers and health care organizations to provide
15 PACE services to the frail elderly who reside in Miami-Dade
16 County. The organization is exempt from the requirements of
17 chapter 641, Florida Statutes. Subject to the appropriation of
18 funds by the Legislature, the agency, in consultation with the
19 Department of Elderly Affairs, shall approve up to 250 initial
20 enrollees in the PACE established by this organization to serve
21 the frail elderly who reside in Miami-Dade County.

34 services to the frail elderly in Miami-Dade County;
35 exempting the organization from chapter 641, F.S.,
36 relating to health care service programs; requiring
37 the agency, in consultation with the Department of
38 Elderly Affairs, to approve up to a certain number of
39 initial enrollees in PACE at the new site, subject to
