       Senator Bradley moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (483720) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 523 and 524
    5  insert:
    6         Section 10. (1)Notwithstanding paragraph (d) of subsection
    7  (1) of s. 8 of the General Appropriations Act for the 2018-2019
    8  year, funds are provided in Specific Appropriation 1966 of the
    9  General Appropriations Act for the 2018-2019 fiscal year to
   10  grant a competitive pay adjustment to each eligible attorney.
   11         (2)For the purpose of this section, the term “competitive
   12  pay adjustment” means:
   13         (a)For eligible attorneys with a base rate of pay of
   14  $75,000 or less on June 30, 2018, an annual increase of $2,500.
   15         (b)For eligible attorneys with a base rate of pay greater
   16  than $75,000 on June 30, 2018, an annual increase of $2,100;
   17  however, in no instance may an attorney’s base rate of pay be
   18  increased to an annual amount of less than $77,500.

   20  For the purpose of determining the applicable increase for part
   21  time attorneys, the full-time equivalent value of the base rate
   22  of pay on June 30, 2018, must be used, but the amount of the
   23  annual increase for a part-time employee must be proportional to
   24  the full-time equivalency of the attorney’s position.
   25         (3)For the purpose of this section, the term “eligible”
   26  means the attorney, at a minimum, is meeting his or her required
   27  performance standards, if applicable.
   28         (4)For the purpose of this section, the term “attorney”
   29  means an employee filling an authorized position as an assistant
   30  public defender (class code 5901), an assistant public defender
   31  chief (class code 5909), or an assistant state attorney (class
   32  codes 6900 and 6901).

   37  and insert:
