       Senator Lee moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (333236) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 115 and 116
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. Section 163.376, Florida Statutes, is created to
    7  read:
    8         163.376 Prohibition on funding professional and semi
    9  professional sports facilities.—A community redevelopment agency
   10  may not enter into a new contract or renew an existing contract
   11  that provides funding from the community redevelopment trust
   12  fund for the construction, reconstruction, renovation, or
   13  improvement of a facility, or infrastructure projects related to
   14  the facility, used to host games or events held by a
   15  professional or semi-professional sports franchise unless the
   16  use of such funds is approved by an affirmative vote of the
   17  electors of the county where the community redevelopment agency
   18  is located. Such professional and semi-professional sports
   19  franchises, include, but are not limited to, a franchise of the
   20  National Football League, the National Hockey League, the
   21  National Basketball Association, the National League or American
   22  League of Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, Major
   23  League Soccer, the North American Soccer League, or the promoter
   24  of a signature event sanctioned by the National Association for
   25  Stock Car Auto Racing.

   29         Between lines 161 and 162
   30  insert:
   31         creating s. 163.376, F.S.; prohibiting a community
   32         redevelopment agency from entering into a new contract
   33         or renewing an existing contract that provides funding
   34         for specified sports facilities unless approved by the
   35         electors of the applicable county;
