       The Committee on Judiciary (Brandes) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 46 - 50
    4  and insert:
    5         (3) A person who is experiencing, or has a good faith
    6  belief that he or she is experiencing, an alcohol or a drug
    7  related overdose and receives medical assistance, or a person
    8  acting in good faith who seeks medical assistance for an
    9  individual experiencing, or believed to be experiencing, an
   10  alcohol or a drug-related overdose, may not be penalized for a
   11  violation of a condition of pretrial release, probation, or
   12  parole if the evidence for such a violation was obtained as a
   13  result of the person’s seeking medical
   14
