    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to transportation network companies;
    3         amending s. 627.748, F.S.; authorizing a luxury ground
    4         vehicle company or a limousine vehicle company to
    5         convert its operations and its for-hire vehicles to a
    6         transportation network company and transportation
    7         network company vehicles, respectively, after a
    8         certain timeframe after providing notification to the
    9         Department of Financial Services; providing an
   10         effective date.
   11          
   12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   13  
   14         Section 1. Subsection (16) is added to section 627.748,
   15  Florida Statutes, to read:
   16         627.748 Transportation network companies.—
   17         (16) CONVERSION OF FOR-HIRE VEHICLE COMPANIES.—Sixty days
   18  after providing notification to the Department of Financial
   19  Services, a luxury ground vehicle company or a limousine vehicle
   20  company operating for-hire vehicles as defined in s. 320.01(15)
   21  may elect to convert its operations to a transportation network
   22  company and its for-hire vehicles to TNC vehicles, subject to
   23  the requirements of this section.
   24         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
