    2         An act relating to pro se assistance; amending s.
    3         28.215, F.S.; defining the term “ministerial
    4         assistance”; providing an effective date.

    6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    7  
    8         Section 1. Section 28.215, Florida Statutes, is amended to
    9  read:
   10         28.215 Pro se assistance.—The clerk of the circuit court
   11  shall provide ministerial assistance to pro se litigants. For
   12  the purposes of this section, “ministerial assistance” means
   13  limited oral communication to assist a pro se litigant with
   14  filling in blanks on any form approved by the court. Ministerial
   15  assistance does Assistance shall not include the provision of
   16  legal advice.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2019.
