       The Committee on Environment and Natural Resources (Montford)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2         Delete lines 53 - 111
    3  and insert:
    4         (1) PROHIBITION.- The performance of high-pressure well
    5  stimulation or matrix acidization is prohibited in this state. A
    6  permit for drilling or operating a well does not authorize the
    7  performance of high-pressure well stimulation or matrix
    8  acidization.
    9         (2) APPLICABILITY.- This section applies only to wells
   10  regulated pursuant to chapter 377.

   13  And the title is amended as follows:
   14         Delete lines 6 - 19
   15  and insert:
   16         s. 377.2405, F.S.; prohibiting the performance of
   17         high-pressure well stimulation or matrix acidization;
   18         clarifying that permits for drilling or operating a
   19         well do not authorize the performance of high-pressure
   20         well stimulation or matrix acidization; providing
   21         applicability; providing an effective date.
