    2         An act relating to impact fees; amending s. 163.31801,
    3         F.S.; prohibiting local governments from charging
    4         impact fees for certain developments; providing an
    5         effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (6) is added to section 163.31801,
   10  Florida Statutes, to read:
   11         163.31801 Impact fees; short title; intent; definitions;
   12  ordinances levying impact fees.—
   13         (6) Beginning July 1, 2019, a local government may not
   14  charge an impact fee for the development or construction of
   15  housing that is affordable, as defined in s. 420.9071.
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2019.
