       The Committee on Infrastructure and Security (Taddeo)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 675 and 676
    4  insert:
    5         (5) A school district or charter school that elects to
    6  participate in the Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program shall
    7  establish a policy by which notification is provided to parents
    8  of students who will be attending a participating school. The
    9  policy must require that such notice be provided before the
   10  school year begins and must allow a parent to choose to decline
   11  to allow his or her child to be placed in a classroom in which a
   12  school guardian is present at any time during the school day. A
   13  school district or a charter school may not place a student in a
   14  classroom in which a school guardian is present if the student’s
   15  parent has declined to allow his or her child to be so placed.

   18  And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Between lines 87 and 88
   20  insert:
   21         requiring school districts and charter schools that
   22         participate in the Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program
   23         to implement a policy that provides notice to parents;
   24         requiring that the policy allow parents to decline to
   25         allow their children to be placed in a classroom in
   26         which a school guardian is present; prohibiting school
   27         districts and charter schools from placing in a
   28         classroom with a school guardian students whose
   29         parents have declined such authorization;
