The Committee on Appropriations (Simmons) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (782410) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Delete lines 1418 - 1425
5 and insert:
6 (a)1. Services funded by the allocation may include, but
7 are not limited to, tutorial and after-school programs, student
8 counseling, nutrition education, parental counseling, and an
9 extended school day and school year. In addition, services may
10 include models that develop a culture that encourages students
11 to complete high school and to attend college or career
12 training, set high academic expectations, and inspire character
13 development.
14 2. A school district may enter into a formal agreement with
15 a nonprofit organization that has tax-exempt status under s.
16 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code to implement an
17 integrated student support service model that provides students
18 and families with access to wrap-around services, including, but
19 not limited to, health services, after-school programs, drug
20 prevention programs, college and career readiness programs, and
21 food and clothing banks.
