       The Committee on Judiciary (Hutson) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Before line 38
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Present subsections (27) through (45) of section
    6  97.021, Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (28)
    7  through (46), respectively, and a new subsection (27) is added
    8  to that section, to read:
    9         97.021 Definitions.—For the purposes of this code, except
   10  where the context clearly indicates otherwise, the term:
   11         (27) “Petition gatherer” means an entity or individual that
   12  is compensated to obtain signatures on initiative petition forms
   13  for the purpose of placing a proposed revision or amendment to
   14  the State Constitution on the ballot.

   17  And the title is amended as follows:
   18         Between lines 2 and 3
   19  insert:
   20         s. 97.021, F.S.; defining the term “petition gatherer”
   21         for purposes of the Florida Election Code; amending
