    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution designating February 3-5, 2020, as “Great
    3         American Realtor Days” in Florida.
    4  
    5         WHEREAS, Florida Realtors is the largest trade association
    6  in this state with more than 187,000 members and more than
    7  23,000 member firms, and
    8         WHEREAS, 2020 marks the 50th observance of Great American
    9  Realtor Days in Tallahassee, and
   10         WHEREAS, Florida Realtors helped more than 400,000 people
   11  achieve the dream of homeownership in Florida last year, and
   12         WHEREAS, only members of Florida Realtors pledge compliance
   13  with the strict Realtor Code of Ethics, a promise of honest and
   14  ethical business practices for their clients and customers based
   15  on professionalism and protection of the public, and
   16         WHEREAS, real estate represents 21.9 percent of Florida’s
   17  gross state product, and
   18         WHEREAS, the total impact of the real estate industry on
   19  the economy of Florida is $227 billion annually, NOW, THEREFORE,

   21  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   22  
   23         That February 3-5, 2020, is designated as “Great American
   24  Realtor Days” in Florida in recognition of the outstanding
   25  services realtors provide to residents and visitors of the state
   26  and the critical contribution they make to the state economy.
   27         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, with
   28  the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Barry Grooms,
   29  2020 President of Florida Realtors, as a tangible token of the
   30  sentiments of the Florida Senate.
