       The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability
       (Montford) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 29 - 34
    4  and insert:
    5         (b) "State employee" means an employee filling an
    6  established position as an employee of a state agency or an
    7  employee of the State University System whose position is funded
    8  by the legislature through an appropriation for the Education
    9  and General Activities Program.
   10         (2) Beginning January 1, 2021, and each January 1
   11  thereafter, the base rate of pay of each eligible state employee
   12  shall be increased by the percentage adjustment calculated
   13  pursuant to subsection (3); provided, however, only the portion
   14  of the base rate of pay of each eligible employee of the State
   15  University System funded from the General Revenue Fund will be
   16  increased by the percentage adjustment calculated pursuant to
   17  subsection (3).
