5 (81) AUBURN UNIVERSITY LICENSE PLATES.—
6 (a) The department shall develop an Auburn University
7 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
8 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
9 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
10 plate, and the words “War Eagle” must appear at the bottom of
11 the plate.
12 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
13 distributed annually as follows:
14 1. Up to 10 percent of the moneys raised from the sale of
15 the plates may be used for continuing marketing and promotion of
16 the plates by the Tampa Bay Auburn Club.
17 2. In each school district that has a district
18 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
19 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
20 district through the sale of Auburn University license plates
21 must be distributed to the foundation or organization for
22 enhancing educational programs.
23 3. In each school district that does not have a district
24 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
25 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
26 district through the sale of Auburn University license plates
27 must be distributed to the district school board and must be
28 used at the discretion of the board for enhancing educational
29 programs.
30 (82) BEAT CHILDHOOD CANCER LICENSE PLATES.—
31 (a) The department shall develop a Beat Childhood Cancer
32 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
33 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
34 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
35 plate, and the words “Beat Childhood Cancer” must appear at the
36 bottom of the plate.
37 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
38 distributed as follows:
39 1. Seventy-five percent of the proceeds shall be
40 distributed to Beat Nb, Inc., which may use up to 10 percent of
41 its proceeds for administrative costs directly associated with
42 the operation of the corporation and for marketing and promoting
43 the plate. All remaining proceeds shall be used by the
44 corporation to fund pediatric cancer treatment and research.
45 2. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds shall be distributed
46 to the Ryan Callahan Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit corporation
47 under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its proceeds
48 shall be used by the corporation to fund pediatric cancer
49 treatment and research.
50 (83) WALT DISNEY WORLD LICENSE PLATES.—
51 (a) The department shall develop a Walt Disney World
52 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
53 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
54 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
55 plate, and the words “Walt Disney World” must appear at the
56 bottom of the plate.
57 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
58 distributed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and
59 Northern Florida, Inc., a nonprofit organization under s.
60 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Up to 10 percent of the
61 proceeds from the sale of such plates may be used for
62 administrative and marketing costs. All remaining proceeds from
63 the annual use fees shall be used by the Make-a-Wish Foundation
64 of Central and Northern Florida, Inc., for activities and
65 programs for families with critically ill children.
66 (84) FLORIDA 4-H LICENSE PLATES.—
67 (a) The department shall develop a Florida 4-H license
68 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
69 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
70 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the term
71 “4-H” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
72 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
73 distributed to Florida 4-H and used for the following purposes:
74 1. Up to 10 percent of the fees may be used for
75 administrative and marketing costs of the plate.
76 2. Twenty percent must be used to support leadership
77 development in this state, including leadership development
78 programs operated by 4-H University, state agencies, and the
79 Legislature.
80 3. Twenty percent must be used to support competitive teams
81 in this state.
82 4. The remainder must be used to support Florida 4-H camps
83 under the Florida 4-H program as designated by the University of
84 Florida.
85 (85) DONATE LIFE FLORIDA LICENSE PLATES.—
86 (a) The department shall develop a Donate Life Florida
87 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
88 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
89 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
90 plate, and the words “Donors Save Lives” must appear at the
91 bottom of the plate.
92 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
93 distributed to Donate Life Florida, which may use up to 10
94 percent of the proceeds for marketing and administrative costs.
95 All remaining proceeds from the annual use fees shall be used by
96 Donate Life Florida to educate Florida residents on the
97 importance of organ, tissue, and eye donation and for the
98 continued maintenance of the Joshua Abbott Organ and Tissue
99 Donor Registry.
100 (86) FLORIDA STATE BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION LICENSE PLATES.—
101 (a) The department shall develop a Florida State Beekeepers
102 Association license plate as provided in this section and s.
103 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
104 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
105 plate, and the words “Save the Bees” must appear at the bottom
106 of the plate.
107 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the Florida
108 State Beekeepers Association, a Florida nonprofit corporation.
109 The Florida State Beekeepers Association may use up to 10
110 percent of the proceeds for administrative, promotional, and
111 marketing costs of the license plate.
112 (c) All remaining proceeds shall be distributed to the
113 Florida State Beekeepers Association and shall be used to raise
114 awareness of the importance of beekeeping to Florida agriculture
115 by funding honeybee research, education, outreach, and
116 husbandry. The Florida State Beekeepers Association board of
117 managers must approve and is accountable for all such
118 expenditures.
119 (87) ROTARY LICENSE PLATES.—
120 (a) The department shall develop a Rotary license plate as
121 provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate must bear
122 the colors and design approved by the department. The word
123 “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the word
124 “Rotary” must appear on the bottom of the plate. The license
125 plate must bear the Rotary International wheel emblem.
126 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the
127 Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, Inc., to be used as follows:
128 1. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
129 administrative costs and for marketing of the plate.
130 2. Ten percent of the proceeds shall be distributed to
131 Rotary’s Camp Florida for direct support to all programs and
132 services provided to children with special needs who attend the
133 camp.
134 3. All remaining proceeds shall be distributed,
135 proportionally based on sales, to each Rotary district in the
136 state in support of Rotary youth programs in Florida.
137 (88) HIGHWAYMEN LICENSE PLATES.—
138 (a) The department shall develop a Highwaymen license plate
139 as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate must
140 bear the colors and design approved by the department. The word
141 “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the word
142 “Highwaymen” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
143 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the City of
144 Fort Pierce, subject to a city resolution designating the city
145 as the fiscal agent of the license plate. The city may use up to
146 10 percent of the proceeds for administrative costs and
147 marketing of the plate and shall use the remainder of the
148 proceeds as follows:
149 1. Before completion of construction of the Highwaymen
150 Museum and African-American Cultural Center, the city shall
151 distribute at least 15 percent of the proceeds to the St. Lucie
152 Education Foundation, Inc., to fund art education and art
153 projects in public schools within St. Lucie County. All
154 remaining proceeds shall be used by the city to fund the
155 construction of the Highwaymen Museum and African-American
156 Cultural Center.
157 2. Upon completion of construction of the Highwaymen Museum
158 and African-American Cultural Center, the city shall distribute
159 at least 10 percent of the proceeds to the St. Lucie Education
160 Foundation, Inc., to fund art education and art projects in
161 public schools within St. Lucie County. All remaining proceeds
162 shall be used by the city to fund the day-to-day operations of
163 the Highwaymen Museum and African-American Cultural Center.
164 (89) DAN MARINO CAMPUS LICENSE PLATES.—
165 (a) The department shall develop a Dan Marino Campus
166 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
167 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
168 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
169 plate, and the words “Marino Campus” must appear at the bottom
170 of the plate.
171 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
172 distributed to the Dan Marino Foundation, a Florida nonprofit
173 corporation, which may use up to 10 percent of the proceeds for
174 administrative costs and marketing of the plate. All remaining
175 proceeds shall be used by the Dan Marino Foundation to assist
176 Floridians with developmental disabilities in becoming employed,
177 independent, and productive and to promote and fund education
178 scholarships and awareness of these services.
179 (90) ORLANDO CITY SOCCER CLUB LICENSE PLATES.—
180 (a) The department shall develop an Orlando City Soccer
181 Club license plate as provided in paragraph (9)(a).
182 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
183 distributed and used as provided in paragraph (9)(b).
184 (91) DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION LICENSE PLATES.—
185 (a) The department shall develop a Daughters of the
186 American Revolution license plate as provided in this section
187 and s. 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design
188 approved by the department. The word “Florida” must appear at
189 the top of the plate, and the words “Daughters of the American
190 Revolution” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
191 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
192 distributed to the Daughters of the American Revolution, a
193 nonprofit organization under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal
194 Revenue Code. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
195 the promotion and marketing of the plate. The remainder of the
196 proceeds shall be used within this state by the Daughters of the
197 American Revolution, a nonpolitical volunteer women’s service
198 organization, to promote patriotism, preserve American history,
199 and secure America’s future through educational programs for
200 local public and private K-12 students and scholarships and
201 other educational funding for underprivileged children.
202 (92) GADSDEN FLAG LICENSE PLATES.—
203 (a) The department shall develop a Gadsden Flag license
204 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The design
205 of the license plate must replicate the color, layout, and
206 design of the Gadsden Flag. The word “Florida” must appear at
207 the top of the plate, and the words “Don’t Tread on Me” must
208 appear at the bottom of the plate.
209 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the Florida
210 Veterans Foundation, a direct-support organization of the
211 Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and must be used to benefit
212 veterans. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
213 continuing promotion and marketing of the license plate.
214 (93) AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL LICENSE PLATES.—
215 (a) The department shall develop an America the Beautiful
216 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
217 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
218 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
219 plate, and the words “America the Beautiful” must appear at the
220 bottom of the plate.
221 (b) The annual use fees from the plate must be distributed
222 to the America the Beautiful Fund as follows: 10 percent to
223 offset administrative costs, marketing, and promotion of the
224 plate and 90 percent for projects and programs teaching
225 character, leadership, and service to Florida youth; the
226 provision of supportive services and assistance to members of
227 the military community; outdoor education advancing the ideal of
228 self-sufficiency; wildlife conservation, including imperiled and
229 managed species; the maintenance of historic or culturally
230 important sites, buildings, structures, or objects; and the
231 development and modification of playgrounds, recreational areas,
232 or other outdoor amenities, including disability access.
233 (94) EXPLORE OFF ROAD FLORIDA LICENSE PLATES.—
234 (a) The department shall develop an Explore Off Road
235 Florida license plate as provided in this section and s.
236 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
237 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
238 plate, and the words “Explore Off Road” must appear at the
239 bottom of the plate.
240 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
241 distributed to the Florida Off Road Foundation, Inc., a
242 nonprofit corporation under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
243 Code. Up to 10 percent of the funds may be used for marketing of
244 the plate, costs directly associated with creation of the plate,
245 and administrative costs related to distribution of proceeds,
246 including annual audit services and compliance affidavit costs.
247 The remainder of the funds shall be used by the Florida Off Road
248 Foundation, Inc., to fund qualified nonprofit organizations that
249 protect and preserve Florida’s natural off-road habitat; educate
250 Floridians about responsible use of the off-road environment;
251 support civilian volunteer programs to promote the use of off
252 road vehicles to assist law enforcement in situations such as
253 search and rescue; support organized cleanups, trail
254 maintenance, and restoration; or preserve Florida’s off-road
255 culture.
256 (95) AMERICAN EAGLE LICENSE PLATES.—
257 (a) The department shall develop an American Eagle license
258 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
259 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
260 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
261 words “In God We Trust” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
262 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
263 distributed to the American Eagle Foundation for deposit in the
264 foundation’s national endowment fund. Up to 10 percent of the
265 funds received may be used for administrative costs and
266 marketing of the plate. The American Eagle Foundation shall use
267 the remainder of the proceeds to fund public education programs,
268 rescue and care programs, and other conservation efforts in
269 Florida that benefit bald eagles.
270 (96) GUARDIAN AD LITEM LICENSE PLATES.—
271 (a) The department shall develop a Guardian Ad Litem
272 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
273 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
274 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
275 plate, and the words “Heartfelt Child Advocacy” must appear at
276 the bottom of the plate.
277 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
278 distributed to the Florida Guardian Ad Litem Foundation, Inc., a
279 direct-support organization and a nonprofit corporation under s.
280 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Up to 10 percent of the
281 proceeds may be used for administrative costs and the marketing
282 of the plate. The remainder of the proceeds must be used in this
283 state to support the mission and efforts of the statewide
284 Guardian Ad Litem Program to represent abused, abandoned, and
285 neglected children and advocate for their best interests;
286 recruit and retain volunteer child advocates; and meet the
287 unique needs of the dependent children the program serves.
288 (97) JUMBO SHRIMP LICENSE PLATES.—
289 (a) The department shall develop a Jumbo Shrimp license
290 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
291 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
292 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
293 words “Jumbo Shrimp” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
294 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
295 distributed to St. Johns Riverkeeper, Inc., a nonprofit
296 organization under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Up
297 to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for the promotion and
298 marketing of the plate. The remainder of the proceeds shall be
299 used by St. Johns Riverkeeper, Inc., for programs and activities
300 related to fulfilling its mission to protect and restore the
301 health of the St. Johns River.
302 (98) THANK A LINEMAN LICENSE PLATES.—
303 (a) The department shall develop a Thank a Lineman license
304 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
305 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
306 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
307 words “Thank a Lineman” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
308 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
309 distributed to the Lake-Sumter State College Foundation, Inc., a
310 nonprofit Florida corporation under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal
311 Revenue Code, to fund scholarships for students enrolled in the
312 Electrical Distribution Technology Program at Lake-Sumter State
313 College. Up to 10 percent of the funds received by the Lake
314 Sumter State College Foundation, Inc., may be used for marketing
315 of the plate and costs directly associated with the
316 administration of the foundation.
317 (99) BEST BUDDIES LICENSE PLATES.—
318 (a) The department shall develop a Best Buddies license
319 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
320 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
321 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the term
322 “BestBuddies.org” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
323 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
324 distributed to Best Buddies International, Inc., a nonprofit
325 corporation under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code,
326 which may use up to 10 percent of the fees for administrative
327 costs and marketing of the plate. The balance of the fees shall
328 be used by Best Buddies International, Inc., to create
329 opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment,
330 leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals
331 with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
332 (100) UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA LICENSE PLATES.—
333 (a) The department shall develop a University of Georgia
334 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
335 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
336 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
337 plate, and the words “The University of Georgia” must appear at
338 the bottom of the plate.
339 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
340 distributed annually as follows:
341 1. Up to 10 percent of the moneys raised from the sale of
342 the plates may be used for continuing marketing and promotion of
343 the plates by the Georgia Bulldog Club of Jacksonville.
344 2. In each school district that has a district
345 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
346 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
347 district through the sale of University of Georgia license
348 plates must be distributed to the foundation or organization for
349 enhancing educational programs.
350 3. In each school district that does not have a district
351 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
352 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
353 district through the sale of University of Georgia license
354 plates must be distributed to the district school board and must
355 be used at the discretion of the board for enhancing educational
356 programs.
357 (101) ETHICAL ECOTOURISM LICENSE PLATES.—
358 (a) The department shall develop an Ethical Ecotourism
359 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
360 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and words
361 that are approved by the department must appear at the bottom of
362 the plate.
363 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate must be
364 distributed equally between the Florida Society for Ethical
365 Ecotourism and Paddle Florida, Inc., each of which may use up to
366 10 percent of such proceeds for administrative costs and the
367 marketing of the plate. The remaining proceeds must be used by
368 the Florida Society for Ethical Ecotourism to provide
369 environmental education and awareness that encourage behaviors
370 that contribute to the sustainability of Florida’s natural
371 ecosystems and resources, and by Paddle Florida, Inc., to raise
372 awareness about water conservation, wildlife preservation,
373 restoration of springs, and protection of waterways in this
374 state.
375 (102) FLORIDA BAY FOREVER LICENSE PLATES.—
376 (a) The department shall develop a Florida Bay Forever
377 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
378 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
379 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
380 plate, and the words “Florida Bay Forever” must appear at the
381 bottom of the plate.
382 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
383 distributed to the Florida National Park Association, Inc.,
384 which may use up to 10 percent of the proceeds for
385 administrative costs and marketing of the plate. All remaining
386 proceeds shall be used to supplement the Everglades National
387 Park’s budgets and to support educational, interpretive,
388 historical, and scientific research relating to the Everglades
389 National Park.
390 (103) BONEFISH AND TARPON TRUST LICENSE PLATES.—
391 (a) The department shall develop a Bonefish and Tarpon
392 Trust license plate as provided in this section and s.
393 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
394 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
395 plate, and the words “Bonefish and Tarpon Trust” must appear at
396 the bottom of the plate.
397 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
398 distributed to the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, which may use up
399 to 10 percent of the proceeds to promote and market the license
400 plate. All remaining proceeds shall be used to conserve and
401 enhance Florida bonefish and tarpon fisheries and their
402 respective environments through stewardship, research,
403 education, and advocacy.
404 (104) COASTAL CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION LICENSE PLATES.—
405 (a) The department shall develop a Coastal Conservation
406 Association license plate as provided in this section and s.
407 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
408 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
409 plate, and the words “Conserve Florida’s Fisheries” must appear
410 at the bottom of the plate.
411 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
412 distributed to Coastal Conservation Association Florida, a
413 nonprofit corporation under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
414 Code, to be used as follows:
415 1. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
416 administrative costs and to promote and market the plate.
417 2. The remainder of the proceeds shall be used to support
418 the mission and efforts of Coastal Conservation Association
419 Florida for habitat enhancement and restoration, saltwater
420 fisheries conservation, and education; to advise the public on
421 the conservation of marine resources; and to promote and enhance
422 the present and future availability of those coastal resources
423 for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.
424 (105) JOHNSON AND WALES UNIVERSITY LICENSE PLATES.—
425 (a) The department shall develop a Johnson and Wales
426 University license plate as provided in this section and s.
427 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
428 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
429 plate, the words “Johnson and Wales University” must appear at
430 the bottom of the plate, and the official Johnson and Wales
431 University logo must appear on the left side of plate.
432 (b) The license plate annual use fees shall be distributed
433 to Johnson and Wales University-North Miami, which may use up to
434 10 percent of the proceeds to promote and market the plate. The
435 remainder of the proceeds shall be used by Johnson and Wales
436 University-North Miami, a Johnson and Wales University
437 organization under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to
438 fund its charitable activities, including, but not limited to,
439 student need-based scholarships.
440 (106) FLORIDA STANDS WITH ISRAEL LICENSE PLATES.—
441 (a) The department shall develop a Florida Stands with
442 Israel license plate as provided in this section and s.
443 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by
444 the department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
445 plate, and the words “Florida Stands with Israel” must appear at
446 the bottom of the plate.
447 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate must be
448 distributed to the Hatzalah of Miami-Dade, Inc., to be used as
449 follows:
450 1. Ten percent must be used solely for the promotion and
451 marketing of the plate.
452 2. Ninety percent must be used by Hatzalah of Miami-Dade,
453 Inc., to assist in training and deploying first responders to
454 expedite emergency response.
455 (107) GIVE KIDS THE WORLD LICENSE PLATES.—
456 (a) The department shall develop a Give Kids The World
457 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
458 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
459 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
460 plate, and the words “Give Kids The World” must appear at the
461 bottom of the plate.
462 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
463 distributed to Give Kids The World, Inc., a nonprofit
464 organization under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Up
465 to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for the promotion and
466 marketing of the plate. The remainder of the proceeds shall be
467 used by Give Kids The World, Inc., to support their mission of
468 providing week-long, cost-free vacations to children with
469 critical illnesses and their families.
470 (108) MARINE CORPS LEAGUE LICENSE PLATES.—
471 (a) The department shall develop a Marine Corps League
472 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
473 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
474 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top center of
475 the plate, and the words “Marine Corps League” must appear at
476 the bottom of the plate.
477 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
478 distributed to the Marine Corps League, Inc., Department of
479 Florida as follows:
480 1. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
481 administrative costs and to promote and market the plate.
482 2. At least 15 percent shall be distributed to the
483 Operations and Maintenance Trust Fund within the Department of
484 Veterans’ Affairs to be used to support program operations that
485 benefit veterans or the operation, maintenance, or construction
486 of domiciliary and nursing homes for veterans, subject to the
487 requirements of chapter 216.
488 3. At least 40 percent shall be distributed to the Marine
489 Corps League John Piazza Memorial Scholarship Fund to fund
490 scholarships and assist Marine Corps Junior ROTC and Young
491 Marine programs in this state.
492 4. At least 20 percent shall support the Marine Corps
493 League efforts in disaster relief, aiding and rendering
494 assistance to all Marines and former Marines and to their widows
495 and orphans in this state.
496 5. At least 15 percent shall be distributed to the Injured
497 Warriors Fund of Florida to assist those warriors injured in
498 combat residing in this state.
499 (109) K9S UNITED LICENSE PLATES.—
500 (a) The department shall develop a K9s United license plate
501 as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate must
502 bear the colors and design approved by the department. The word
503 “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the words
504 “K9s United” must appear at the bottom of the plate.
505 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
506 distributed to K9s United, Inc., a nonprofit organization under
507 s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Up to 10 percent of
508 the proceeds may be used for the promotion and marketing of the
509 plate. The remainder of the proceeds shall be used by K9s
510 United, Inc., to support K9 units throughout the state.
511 (110) FLORIDA NATIVE LICENSE PLATES.—
512 (a) The department shall develop a Florida Native license
513 plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The word
514 “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the word
515 “Native” must appear at the bottom of the plate. The plate must
516 contain a camouflage background including leaves, flowers, or
517 fronds of a minimum of five different Florida native plants.
518 (b)1. The department shall retain all annual use fees from
519 the sale of the plate until all startup costs for developing and
520 issuing the plate have been recovered.
521 2. Thereafter, the annual use fees from the sale of the
522 plate shall be distributed to the Florida Native Plant Society,
523 a Florida nonprofit corporation, which may use a maximum of 10
524 percent of the fees for administrative costs and to market and
525 promote the plate. The balance of the fees shall be used by the
526 Florida Native Plant Society to fulfill the mission of the
527 Florida Native Plant Society, which is to restore and preserve
528 native Florida plants on private and public lands through
529 grants, education, and community projects.
530 (111) UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA LICENSE PLATES.—
531 (a) The department shall develop a University of Alabama
532 license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
533 plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
534 department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
535 plate, and the words “Roll Tide” must appear at the bottom of
536 the plate.
537 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
538 distributed annually as follows:
539 1. Up to 10 percent of the moneys raised from the sale of
540 the plates may be used for continuing marketing and promotion of
541 the plates by the Pensacola Bama Club.
542 2. In each school district that has a district
543 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
544 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
545 district through the sale of University of Alabama license
546 plates must be distributed to the foundation or organization for
547 enhancing educational programs.
548 3. In each school district that does not have a district
549 prekindergarten through grade 12 public school foundation or a
550 direct-support organization, the moneys raised in that school
551 district through the sale of University of Alabama license
552 plates must be distributed to the district school board and must
553 be used at the discretion of the board for enhancing educational
554 programs.
