       Senator Bracy moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (610278) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 179 and 180
    5  insert:
    6         Section 4. Section 985.031, Florida Statutes, is created to
    7  read:
    8         985.031Age limitation; exception.—
    9         (1) This section may be cited as the “Kaia Rolle Act.”
   10         (2) A child younger than 7 years of age may not be
   11  adjudicated delinquent, arrested, or charged with a violation of
   12  law or a delinquent act on the basis of acts occurring before he
   13  or she reaches 7 years of age.
   14         (3) Notwithstanding this section, a child who commits a
   15  forcible felony as defined in s. 776.08 may be adjudicated
   16  delinquent, arrested, or charged with a violation of law or a
   17  delinquent act.
