       The Committee on Rules (Harrell) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (11) is added to section 40.013,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         40.013 Persons disqualified or excused from jury service.—
    8         (11) Upon request, a full-time student between 18 and 21
    9  years of age, inclusive, who is attending high school or any
   10  state university, private postsecondary educational institution,
   11  Florida College System institution, or career center shall be
   12  excused from that specific summons for jury service.
   13         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.

   18  and insert:
   19                        A bill to be entitled                      
   20         An act relating to jury service; amending s. 40.013,
   21         F.S.; requiring that full-time students who meet
   22         specified criteria be excused from jury service upon
   23         request; providing an effective date.
