    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution recognizing and celebrating the
    3         invaluable contribution of education staff
    4         professionals in this state, who work tirelessly to
    5         enhance the learning experiences of Florida students
    6         and to advance student success.
    7  
    8         WHEREAS, education staff professionals are valued and
    9  critical members of the education workforce in this state who,
   10  on average, have more than a decade of experience and account
   11  for more than 40 percent of the school workforce, and
   12         WHEREAS, education staff professionals educate and nurture
   13  children in the classroom, offer nutritious meals, provide
   14  reliable transportation, and maintain safe and clean schools to
   15  ensure that all students, including those who are most
   16  vulnerable due to special needs, are ready to learn, and
   17         WHEREAS, education staff professionals are the first to
   18  arrive in the morning and the last to leave at the end of the
   19  school day and they engage our students in the playgrounds,
   20  cafeterias, classrooms, and hallways and at school crosswalks,
   21  and
   22         WHEREAS, education staff professionals are vital to local
   23  communities, providing support during emergencies and preparing
   24  staff evacuation shelters in advance of hurricanes and in
   25  preparation for other emergency circumstances, and
   26         WHEREAS, education staff professionals ensure that students
   27  achieve success at their highest levels, and
   28         WHEREAS, education staff professionals engage students and
   29  keep them connected to the larger school community, and
   30         WHEREAS, education staff professionals keep students
   31  emotionally and physically healthy and safe, and
   32         WHEREAS, education staff professionals provide instruction
   33  and academic support, challenging and motivating students by
   34  maintaining high expectations, and
   35         WHEREAS, education staff professionals help build and
   36  support a positive school culture, and
   37         WHEREAS, education staff professionals are critical members
   38  of the education workforce and ensure student success from
   39  preschool through college, NOW, THEREFORE,

   41  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   42  
   43         That the invaluable contribution of education staff
   44  professionals in this state, who work tirelessly to enhance the
   45  learning experiences of Florida students and to advance student
   46  success, is recognized and celebrated.
