       Senator Jones moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to House Amendment (649221) to Senate
    2  Amendment (with title amendment)
    3  
    4         After line 69
    5  insert:
    6         (5) CAUSE OF ACTION FOR STUDENT WHOSE SEX IS DISPUTED.—Any
    7  student who is the subject of a dispute as to their sex, and
    8  whose biological sex has been verified, and who after such
    9  verification, has been deemed able to participate on athletic
   10  teams or in sports designated for females, women, or girls,
   11  shall have a private cause of action against the parties who
   12  disputed the student’s sex, and shall, upon prevailing, be
   13  entitled to monetary damages, including for any psychological,
   14  emotional, or physical harm suffered, reasonable attorney fees
   15  and costs, and any other appropriate relief.
