       Senator Bean moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 40 - 51
    4  and insert:
    5  Constitution for a reasonable period of time during an active,
    6  ongoing, and good faith investigation of a claim of actual
    7  innocence in a case that previously resulted in the conviction
    8  of the accused person and until the claim is no longer capable
    9  of further investigation. This paragraph is subject to the Open
   10  Government Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and
   11  shall stand repealed on October 2, 2026, unless reviewed and
   12  saved from repeal through reenactment by the Legislature.
   13         Section 2. The Legislature finds that it is a public
   14  necessity that conviction integrity unit reinvestigation
   15  information be made exempt from s. 119.07(1), Florida Statutes,
   16  and s. 24(a), Article I of the State Constitution for a
   17  reasonable period of time
