       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 427 and 428
    4  insert:
    5         Section 11. The Board of Governors of the State University
    6  System shall assess the impact of authorizing state universities
    7  that failed to meet enrollment goals during the prior school
    8  year to extend the waiver under s. 1009.26(18), Florida
    9  Statutes, to students who are not residents for tuition purposes
   10  under s. 1009.21, Florida Statutes. The assessment must include,
   11  but need not be limited to, the potential impact on enrollment
   12  and the financial impact of such an extension. The Board of
   13  Governors shall release the results of the assessment to the
   14  Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the
   15  House of Representatives by July 1, 2023.

   20  insert:
   21         requiring the Board of Governors to conduct an
   22         assessment; providing the requirements of the
   23         assessment; requiring the Board of Governors to
   24         release the results of the assessment by a specified
   25         date to the Governor and the Legislature;
