       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 82 and 83
    4  insert:
    5         (f) The Board of Governors of the State University System
    6  may authorize a state university that failed to meet its
    7  enrollment goals during the preceding school year to extend the
    8  out-of-state fees waiver under this subsection to the
    9  grandchildren of all residents of this state, regardless of
   10  whether such resident has resided in Florida for at least 5
   11  years or is a veteran.

   14  And the title is amended as follows:
   15         Delete line 12
   16  and insert:
   17         nonresident students; authorizing the Board of
   18         Governors to authorize state universities that fail to
   19         meet enrollment goals during the preceding school year
   20         to extend such out-of-state fee waiver to certain
   21         students; requiring the Board of Governors
