    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to fees; creating s. 483.919, F.S.;
    3         requiring the Department of Health to adopt by rule
    4         procedures for the issuance and annual renewal of
    5         genetic counselor licenses, including a specified
    6         application fee; authorizing the department to waive
    7         payment of the fee by rule; providing for the deposit
    8         and use of fee proceeds; providing a contingent
    9         effective date.

   11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   12  
   13         Section 1. Section 483.919, Florida Statutes, is created to
   14  read:
   15         483.919 Licensure of genetic counselors.—The department
   16  shall adopt by rule procedures for the issuance and annual
   17  renewal of a genetic counselor license, including an application
   18  fee not to exceed $25 for such issuance and annual renewal. The
   19  department may waive payment of the fee by rule. Proceeds from
   20  fees collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited in
   21  the Administrative Trust Fund within the Department of Health
   22  and used for the administration of genetic counselor licensure.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that
   24  SB 1770 or similar legislation takes effect if such legislation
   25  is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension
   26  thereof and becomes a law.
