    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution recognizing April 2021 as “Month of the
    3         Military Child” in Florida.
    4  
    5         WHEREAS, thousands of courageous men and women in uniform
    6  have demonstrated courage and commitment to freedom by serving
    7  our country in times of war and peace at bases in Afghanistan
    8  and Iraq and throughout the world, and
    9         WHEREAS, more than 15,000 children of Floridians serving in
   10  the United States Armed Forces have been directly impacted by
   11  the deployment of at least one parent and, with their parents,
   12  continually stand as shining beacons of sacrifice, dedication,
   13  commitment, and honor to all of us, and
   14         WHEREAS, we celebrate the spirit of our military children
   15  and their sacrifices, courage, and resiliency, and recognize
   16  that while our men and women in uniform are taking care of our
   17  country, we must make ourselves available to support the well
   18  being of their children, and
   19         WHEREAS, this recognition will encourage all Floridians to
   20  pay tribute to military children in recognition of their
   21  struggles and sacrifice, recognizing that when parents serve in
   22  the military, their kids are heroes, too, NOW, THEREFORE,

   24  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   25  
   26         That April 2021 is recognized as “Month of the Military
   27  Child” in Florida.
