       The Committee on Appropriations (Hooper) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1792 and 1793
    4  insert:
    5         Section 55. In order to implement Specific Appropriation
    6  1867 of the 2021-2022 General Appropriations Act, paragraphs (a)
    7  and (b) of subsection (3) of section 341.052, Florida Statutes,
    8  are amended to read:
    9         341.052 Public transit block grant program; administration;
   10  eligible projects; limitation.—
   11         (3) The following limitations shall apply to the use of
   12  public transit block grant program funds:
   13         (a)1. State participation in eligible capital projects
   14  shall be limited to 50 percent of the nonfederal share of such
   15  project costs.
   16         2. For the 2021-2022 fiscal year only, local participation
   17  in eligible capital projects may be less than 50 percent of the
   18  nonfederal share of such project costs. This subparagraph
   19  expires July 1, 2022.
   20         (b)1. State participation in eligible public transit
   21  operating costs may not exceed 50 percent of such costs or an
   22  amount equal to the total revenue, excluding farebox, charter,
   23  and advertising revenue and federal funds, received by the
   24  provider for operating costs, whichever amount is less.
   25         2. For the 2021-2022 fiscal year only, local participation
   26  in eligible public transit operating costs may be less than 50
   27  percent of such operating costs. This subparagraph expires July
   28  1, 2022.
