       The Committee on Judiciary (Rodriguez) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 48 - 49
    4  and insert:
    5         warrant in the sum of $350,000 payable to the Estate of
    6  Emilio Jesus Vizcaino-Aday as compensation for injuries and
    7  damages
    8

   10  And the title is amended as follows:
   11         Delete lines 30 - 40
   12  and insert:
   13         WHEREAS, the Estate of Emilio Jesus Vizcaino-Aday and
   14  Miami-Dade County have reached a tentative compromise settlement
   15  pending county approval, the settlement being in the amount of
   16  $650,000, and
   17         WHEREAS, pursuant to the agreement between the parties, the
   18  settlement will be partially satisfied in the amount of
   19  $300,000, and
   20         WHEREAS, pursuant to the settlement, the claim shall be
   21  considered fully satisfied by payment of an additional $350,000
   22  by Miami-Dade County to the Estate of Emilio Jesus Vizcaino
   23  Aday, as authorized by the Florida Legislature, NOW, THEREFORE,
